What is the "1 - Message" notification? (Android app)

The app icon on my phone will show a number 1 in a red circle. When I launch the app it goes to the Dashboard which has a box with “1- Message” inside. If I can tap the box fast enough it takes me to the Notification window that has a message of some sort. The message disappears before I can read it. If I don’t tap fast enough (within a second or two) the “1 – Message” box goes away and then the Feed icon at the bottom will display a red circle with a 1 in it.

What’s going on? Do I have a message and, if so, how do I read it?

I've reported this some time ago. It's gotten better over time but it hasn't gone away. The message likely is for an offline camera but that may have been from a long time ago.

I was able to read the message and it was indeed about an offline camera. Except I only have 1 (doorbell) and it was working fine.

Apparently, at one time it was noted as offline. I would hope at some time we'd be able to dismiss the messages.

I have the same problem. Unfortunately I am never able to tap the icon quickly enough to read the message. I also have only one camera which is working fine. Thanks for the info. At least I'm not missing anything important.
