Very long lag time/No full picture on phone screen

I have installed the doorbell and when I test it, it takes over 20 seconds to get the notification (is this normal?) and when I enter the app on my phone, the entire viewing area is a silver gray color except for the very top.
Any resolution to this?

There can sometimes be a slight delay for notifications to arrive due to Arlo Smart analytics. When motion is detected by the camera, if Arlo Smart is enabled, the motion is sent to the cloud and analyzed to determine what caused the event (animal, vehicle, person, etc.) After Arlo Smart determines the cause of the event, you will receive the notification.
