Since installing the video doorbell I've been receiving notifications as well as video from the doorbell cam.  Since my trial period ended and after choosing not to pay for extended coverage, I no longer get video captures from my doorbell.  Anyone have any suggestions?

Cloud storage requires a paid subscription with the doorbell. You can still live stream from it, and you will get notifications.  But there will be no video stored.  https://kb.arlo.com/88/What-are-the-available-Arlo-subscription-plans-and-how-much-cloud-recording-i...

If you are connecting a smarthub base, you could use direct access to local storage.  That would let you see local recordings in the app (but not the web browser).  https://kb.arlo.com/000062337/What-is-Direct-Storage-Access-and-how-do-I-use-it

Wrong! On a wire-free doorbell, you cannot use a hub to store the video clips locally.
So if you don't pay for a subscription, this is real time only. And this is so sad when you have a hub nearby.

You're busy talking about the wirefree doorbell and this is the wired section. Don't mix them.

My Arlo doorbell is wired into the normal doorbell place.   I'm not sure what you mean by "I'm busy talking about the wire free doorbell" as quite honestly, this was a Christmas gift my kids set it up for me AND I have no clue what I have or don't have or how the heck it works.  So how does your reply help that?

I think the answer was more in my direction. I was wrong, I received a notification and I thought it was related to the thread I was involved. And here you are asking about AVD1001, not 2001.
I think the answer was already provided: or you keep it as it is, no subscription, and you will only get realtime notifications (mouvement, or someone ringing).
Or you add an Arlo hub or base, which can record locally.
Or you will have to subscribe to a plan... and pay !
