Getting a tamper alert every time the video doorbell is pressed. The doorbell is working with two way audio, and ringing the mechanical chime, but each time I receive at least 1 tamper alert.

I tested the transformer and the output at the doorbell unit and was receiving the proper voltage and amperage.  I resolved the issue by replacing the doorbell unit with a digital unit.  I believe having a diode at the doorbell might also have resolved the issue, but I didn't test that theory.  I replaced the unit with:

I'd guess that the current supplied to the doorbell is minimal. It could be due to the transformer, wiring or the connection to the doorbell.

Dgramling67,

As mentioned above, check to make sure your transformer is meeting the required specifications to power your doorbell.

For more information on this, take a look here: How do I measure the voltage of my doorbell transformer?
