I am selling my house with the Arlo Wired Video Doorbell. It does not have a base.

How do I transfer the doorbell to the new owner? I see that I can simply delete the device from my account, however, how do they gain the right to use it? How do they set it up? I threw the box away a couple of years ago.

Thanks!

Removing it from your account is enough to allow them to use it.  If you have no other Arlo devices, you should also cancel the subscription.  If desired, you can delete the account entirely using the privacy center in the app (or my.arlo.com).

They need to install the app on one of their phones, create a primary account, and onboard the doorbell using the app.  Of course they also will need to get a subscription.

It's possible they might need to reset the doorbell.  If you have the reset pin that came with the doorbell, then you should leave it for them.  They can substitute using a small paperclip (unbending the end), or some other stiff wire that is thin enough.

They probably also will need to set up friend account(s) to allow access to the doorbell from multiple phones.

Maybe leave them a cheat sheet (with the reset pin attached if you have it), giving them this info, and pointing them to community.arlo.com if they have problems onboarding.
