Reset the video doorbell remotely

Can the video doorbell be reset remotely?

We are away from our vacation home for several months. I installed the arlo video doorbell (wired) and initially it seem to work fine; however, now it is no longer connecting to the wifi network. We have nearly two dozen smart home devices that reliably connect to the network even after power outages. The arlo video doorbell is the exception.

Is there some way to reset this device remotely? All I have found on the support web site instructs the user to perform the reset while being present at the same location as the device. What good is a smart home device that cannot be managed remotely?

Unfortunately, you need to be on site to reset it.

Can you log into your router and reboot that to see if it helps? I have an IoT thermostat that regularly loses connection to the server although all indications are that the WiFi connection is still good. A remote router reboot fixes it (at home, I just power cycle the furnace).
