Questions about Arlo video doorbell

I have a couple questions regarding the Arlo video doorbell. 1. Does the Arlo video doorbell work with a base station or SmartHub? 2. Does the Arlo video doorbell require any type of subscription? 3. Would the Arlo video doorbell work with an existing chime, or do I need an Arlo chime? 4. Would I still be able to hear, see and talk to people that rings the doorbell through the Arlo app on my phone even if I opt out of paying the basic service fee if I don’t need to save any videos from visitors ringing the doorbell?
