I’ve tried adding it through the app, but the app doesn’t show anything to add. I’ve been searching for the Support phone number for my subscription but it doesn’t have one listed (although they are charging me for it anyway)!

Try factory resetting the device using these instructions. You may need to try factory resetting a few times before being able to successfully re-onboard the device: https://kb.arlo.com/000062346/How-do-I-reset-my-Arlo-Essential-Video-Doorbell
If you're still experiencing an issue, try opening a support ticket using the Arlo mobile app under Settings > Support.
