I have as second home that I am protecting. I have installed a new doorbell as a starting point. When I installed the new doorbell, I selected WiFi only and not connected to SmartHub at my first home.
After I installed the new doorbell, the first doorbell now shows not connected.
QUESTION: Do I need a SmartHub at both homes and does the Arlo App have a multiple home feature? Or, do I need to start a new account for each new home?
thank you

You can have cameras in multiple locations in one account. Some cameras need smarthubs, others do not - it depends on the camera model. If you do need a smarthub, it needs to be local.

It shouldn't. Is it still off-line?

Yes, the doorbell is still off line at the primary home. All of the cameras are still active.
The question is, do I need a second smarthub a the secondary home for the doorbell at the secondary home?

Both the AVD1001 and the AVD2001 will connect to your wifi, so they don't need a smarthub.
But if you want to use direct access to local storage, then you would need to add a smarthub (and switch the doorbell to use it).
