Mechanical chime only works on setting 'digital' in the app?

Hi there,

I have a 24v mechanical chime which gives a ring as long as you press the doorbell.

After I installed the Arlo doorbell I had to select 'digital chime' in the app to get it working. When I selected 'mechanical' the chime didnt react.

Now I selected the chime on 'digital' in the app and put it on 1 sec of ringing. So it works. But I still was wondering why it doesnt work on 'mechanical' settings in the app?
