Essential Video Doorbell Wired installation to NeTone Chime

The "Trans" terminal connector is not located with the Front and Rear terminals as others have discovered.  However, there appears to be a "non threaded" through hole terminal on the top left side of the circuit board and when tested showed almost a hot 14vdc powered by my original 32 year old transformer.  The circuit board schematic seems to show the yellow wire going/coming from that location on the back side.  You can search internet for  "NuTone LA-174 Installation Instructions" to see what I am referring to.  I have a new transformer to install that outputs 16vdc.  I think that if that presumed "T" connection is equipped with a screw, washer and nut it will provide the power needed for the power kit once the new transformer is installed.  I will report back my findings.

I agree that the yellow wire is the one to which you need to connect the power kit.

 

Not sure if that will work though - often chimes with integrated intercom systems are not compatible with video doorbells.
