We have been using an Arlo Essential wired doorbell since around the year 2018.. The doorbell faces to the south with an unobstructed view of the sky. Within about the first two years we regularly noticed the doorbell would go offline and discovered through lots of debugging that it was overheating... Around 2020 We put a white silicone cover over the doorbell that only exposed the necessary parts. After that we stopped having malfunctions due to overheating... Recently we have been experiencing an issue where the doorbell will start randomnly re-broadcasting everything that it hears at maximum volume and at the same time will not relay any button pushes to the physical chime inside. So we just start missing any doorbell rings.. Power cycling the doorbell (via the fuse box) seems to "correct" this issue- but it has started happening so frequently that I took the silicone cover off to see if I could see anything physically wrong with the doorbell. When I did- I noticed that the portions of the doorebell that had been exposed to direct sunlight for the wole 7 years seemed to have lost their original tinted coating so you can clearly see through to the circuit board inside (see attached pics- the orange lines indicate where the opaque white silicone cover existed)...

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Here's what mine looked like after about 15 months or so. Doorbell facing the south.  Really disappointing to say the least
