Door bell issues

I have been having issues with my doorbell camera hook up to a digital chime, I have verified the 16v transformer and all wiring is hooked up but it will only play a short part of the chime. Once I hook up the suggested diode it conti us to play when not pressed but please the whole chime any help would be appreciated

If you go into the doorbell settings in the app, you'll find a slider that sets how long the chime will play. It goes from 1 to 10 seconds.
