I currently pay $15 a month for 30 day cloud storage for my four outdoor cameras. I recently installed the video doorbell with free 3 month subscription. When the three months is up, does my current $15 a month cloud storage cover the doorbell as well?

That will be interesting to see. What has been happening is that any change in your legacy plan's subscription has caused folks to need to cancel the existing sub and resubscribe to the new plans. You could get around it to some degree by setting up a second account specifically for the doorbell and then use Settings, Grant Access from the new account to the original email address. However, you wouldn't be able to create rules to incorporate both systems together and if you don't have a base or hub on the new account you would be limited to cloud recordings.
