Hi team,

i bought a Video Doorbell 2nd gen (2k) and a Chime 2 (AC2001)

I was able to get the doorbell connected to my base station (VMB4540), but the Chime 2 is not connecting at all.

When I follow the instructions for configuring the Chime 2, it tries to join a random Arlo WiFi network that appears to be created by the Chime. However, my phone/app is never able to connect, with no helpful error message or guidance.
What can I do here?

Thanks

What type of device are you using to set up the Chime 2?

Update: I have an iPhone 16. I solved the issue a couple of hours ago. Basically iPhone 16 and 15pro didn‘t work. They wouln‘t connect to the Chime2 wifi network. I tried with an old iPhone14 and it worked fine. Weird bug, not optimal solution as I need to add every new Chime through the old phone, but at least it works for me now.

I had the same problem. could not add the chime 2 with my iPhone 15 pro max or my iPad  pro 11. i had to seek out an old iPhone 13 pro max and fortunately the battery just held enough charge to connect the chime 2. surely Arlo should be able to sort out this bug - it has been going on at least 3 years looking at all the posts. what sort of hi tech equipment can only work if you can manage to drag up some old technology to connect it? Bonkers!
