Seems like a strange pairing, but my doorbell is in direct sunlight, and after a few months, the battery explodes. So I thought I would just get a wired doorbell to fix the battery issue. However, I can’t get it to sync with the wireless chime. Maybe it won’t? note the house is more than 25 years old and the doorbell it came with is an intercom and isn’t compatible with Arlo. (Hence the wireless chime)

Yes, I imagine 2 wire free items are compatible. But my question is about a WIRED doorbell and wire FREE chime???? I can’t use a wire free doorbell bc the battery explodes in the sun and ruins it. Thx

Great!! How do I set it up? Only option for wired doorbell on the app is to connect it to existing hardwired chimes in the house. How do I connect the wired doorbell to the wireless chime? (And pls don’t send me to the wired doorbell video like the chatbot.)

You pair the chime to the doorbell. When the chime is connected to your account, go to the doorbell settings and use the Paired Devices section to Add Chime. I believe the setup instructions should lead you through that.
