I recently switched to a different video doorbell but still have my old wired Arlo doorbell. My question is, if I can access the video feed through Google home, shouldn't I be able to have that "feed" accessed by a recording program? I tried searching but wasn't having any luck besides being told to get a smart hub for local storage. Yeah, I don't want to give them any more money.

You could manually record the screen of the google home client while livestreaming the camera (or do the same with the Arlo app).
It might be possible to automate that - it would require some experimentation, as I haven't seen any posts here from people who've managed it.
