Arlo essential video doorbell distorted video playback

Can someone please help me with a fix / solution to my video playback being so distorted when playing back? 
I have a wired essential video doorbell that after picking up motion goes into the feeds folder. I then go to play it back and it never plays normal from beginning to end. It is constantly pausing, distorted etc….

i can hear the audio with no problem but video is constantly pausing and distorted to the point you can’t even see who or what it is. I can’t remember when I was able to hit play and the video played without any interruptions . 

i have to slide the reverse/fast forward slider for me to actually see what it is. I recently had someone try to force there way into my house thinking it was there’s and could not even view the video because of it being distorted. This is not acceptable to me and I’m about to junk it and go with something else if I can’t find a fix to this problem. As far as I know I am running the latest software and updates unless there’s something I don’t know about and my base station is about 25’ away.

It could be a WiFi signal strength/quality issue. You can take a laptop or phone to the doorbell and check the signal strength for your WiFi. ALso look for new or moved wireless devices that could be interfering with the signal near the doorbell.

 

It may be useful to remove power from the doorbell and turn it back on to see if that helps. A reboot from the doorbell settings may be used instead.
