Arlo Video Doorbell incoming calls only rings on the smartwatch and not on the phone - ANDROID

When someone rings the bell, the incoming call is notified on the phone, rings on my watch but I am unable to answer the call on the phone.
If I click the answer button on my watch, nothing happens on the phone.
If I click on the notification on the phone, nothing happens.
The call only stops when I press the hang-up button on the phone multiple times (at least 3 times. sometimes way more)
I have tried uninstalling the app and installing it back but got no luck.
the Arlo app version is 3.2.2_28365
Pixel 3 XL - Android 11
Watch is a Fossil 5th generation webOS version 2.47.0.373525699.gms
