Arlo Essential Video Doorbell AVD1001AR1. keeps detecting motion that isn't there

For the last month or so, I've been getting hundreds of motion detector alerts a day when nothing is there to set it off. I've tried using the Motion Detector Test to reduce sensitivity from 80 down to 29 and it hasn't made a difference. Even worse, sometimes after a few days, the app will set itself back to 80 or so for the sensitivity.

How do I fix this?

Note: It had worked fine for at least a year or two before this...

You need to change the setting in your modes and rules, not the test which is just, a test.

Don't forget that the sun's IR effect changes as the sun's angle changes.

What solved the problem was shutting down the circuit breaker providing power to the device. And then turning it on again.
