Modes do not apply to individual cameras, the three modes control all the cameras at the location.

The three modes can be modified - if a rule is not included in a mode for a camera (or doorbell) then that device is disarmed whenever that mode is engaged.

How many other cameras do you have?

If you only have the doorbell, then:

  1. Use "Armed Away" when you are not home
  2. Use "Arm Home" and "Standby" in the schedule when you are home

Create two schedule automations

  1. "arm" to switch the mode to "Arm Home" at 22:00
  2. "disarm" to switch the mode to "Standby" at 08:00.

Make sure neither automation is enabled in "Arm Away".  That prevents the schedule from kicking in when you are away.

Geofencing is somewhat broken right now, since you cannot just tell the system to follow the schedule when you return home.  So create these automations:

  1. "leave" to switch the mode to Arm Away when everyone leaves
  2. "arrive" to switch the mode to "Standby" when anyone arrives

When you return home between 22:00 and 08:00 you will need to manually set the system to "Arm Home".  Or just wait until the next night (as the schedule will resume at 22:00 the following evening).

If you have other cameras that are on a different schedule, then having only three modes will get into the way.  You can modify "Standby" to arm some cameras, but that only works if you want them armed 24x7.  Hopefully Arlo will roll out a solution to these limitations soon.
