Every time I sign in to my Arlo video doorbell I receive an email telling me there has been a sign-in "from a new device".  I only ever use the same device for my signing-in, so the alert is wrong in claiming it is from a new device.  Is there a way to stop this annoying and misleading alert?

If this is a PC (my.arlo.com) , you will often need see this message after you (or security software on the PC) clears your cookies or when you use a different browser.  I generally use my phone.

If this is a mobile device, then most newer phones and tablets have privacy features for the wifi connection. These are designed to make it harder for someone to identify/track the device.  So check that setting for the wifi you use., and try changing it to see if that changes the behavior.

For instance, my iPhone as a "Private Wi-Fi Address" setting which I see when I press the (i) next to the wifi network.  If that is set to "Rotating", then the Arlo Cloud might think the device is a new one when you log in.  "Fixed" might also sometimes have the same effect when you connect to a new wifi network.  Android has a similar feature - not sure how to access it though.

Thanks for the response.  It's on my MacBookPro and when this happens I haven't cleared my cookies or used a different browser.  I also use my 2023 Android phone with the app.  but never get the message there.

I also see this message at the top of the login page:  "The User Name or Password Is Incorrect" even before I have tried to log in!

I've see this when I opened my.arlo.com using Edge on a PC.  I believe it was because I had two Arlo accounts with different passwords saved in the browser password manager.  At least, deleting one (and then clearing the browser cache fixed it.

The Macbook Pro also supports the private Wi-Fi address feature, so make sure that is set to "Fixed".  Also trust the browser when you log in - that doesn't last that long, but might help reduce how often Arlo thinks you are using a new device.

I find that if the Arlo page has been open in the browser but not logged in I have to refresh the page so that message doesn't occur. I suspect it's a Chrome issue with how auto fill works.
