chime is connected over the network, but does not ring

1) under mode setting, i am unable to change the type of sound the chime makes, plus it does not make any sound though it is connected

2) is it possible to mute the phone notifications for one user?

1) You can change the chime sound in the doorbell settings, assuming the chime is already paired with the doorbell. 

 

2) Push notifications are global. To turn them off for one user, they would need to change that phone's settings for the app in the Notifications section.
