My doorbell is only 6 months old. Initially the battery lasted a good three months but now lasts about 6 hours? Can’t figure or why?

While it could be a faulty battery or doorbell, it could also be the total amount of recording and live viewing the doorbell is doing, with <5 minutes per day being the spec. You may need to disable Smart notifications so you see all recordings in your library/feed. Add all the video lengths up and see whether you're grossly exceeding 5 minutes.

Also, you'd need to remove any activity zones to see the amount of video streaming.

Mine is doing the same. I have the motion detection down to 6! This seems recent.

Can you go through these steps and see if it helps with the life of the battery?

My Arlo Wireless Doorbell battery life has never been good. Very disappointed. And I have thought about buying a second one to swap out when it dies because it also seems to take forever to charge back, but the batteries are so expensive.
I was synced with the Arlo base, but we had to move the base farther away and battery life got ridiculously bad. Only lasted about two days. I have since resynced the doorbell to my wifi and it is doing better so far. One week in and it's at 93%. I have the motion detection very minimal at 10.
In my case I believe the poor battery life to be an issue with poor connection to base. But, still I think Arlo should do better with this product!

Please reach out to support. You get that by going in the support area of the app (not my.arlo.com), and selecting a camera in a subscription plan. Scroll down to the contact section, and you will see an option for phone support. It is available between 6 am and 6 pm US pacific time.
