Hi,
I am getting a ton of notifications that are merely pedestrians walking past my house, going about their lives. I have a front deck about 15 feet from the steps down to the street. So these passers-by are around 25-30 feet away. I have only identified 'people' for notifications, so my question is: What sensible adjustment can I make to reduce the volume of notifications?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thx a bunch.

Use the motion utility in the settings to test for best value, then enter the value into the armed mode camera rule.

Thankyou so much. I have adjusted the motion sensitivity so that should help. But what do you mean about adding rules?

Motion sensitivity is defined in the camera rules. Just playing with the motion detection test settings won't change anything.
Activity zones can also help reduce the amount of notifications and recordings (though they will not improve battery life).
