Arlo Secure app, version 4.3.5 (5838), fails to read hashtag for Arlo Doorbell AVD2001-100NAS. Hashtag is located below the battery install for the doorbell. Modern Apple iPhones (Model number MQ2T3LL/A (14 Pro)) using IO's 16.1.2; have 3 cameras installed where the app selects one to read the hashtag. The problem is, as I see it, the app is choosing the far field camera instead of the near field camera. So bringing the hashtag close enough for the reader on the app is blurred out and unable to read the hashtag for the doorbell. Since Arlo Only made the App is a way to install the doorbell; I cannot get the doorbell installed by this process there must be another methodology to get the doorbell to be read by the application. If so, tell me how?

Are you able to take a clear photo of the QR code?
If you can, you could print the photo and point the phone camera at the photo during install.

Thanks for your reply. I had an older iPad that had a single camera and the app loaded. The iPad was able to read the hashtag and apply the device to the app.

This is a ridiculous response. I shouldn’t have to find a printer to get a QR code to work. The app should be updated or there should be another option to add a device. I’m having the same issue with a Chime 2. I’ve HOURS trying ti get this to work and it does not work.

Pinch zoom and moving in and out to scan the code should help. Printing the code out can help when having issues for any reason. Not trying all options isn't an option.

I don't work for Arlo, I'm just another user.
If your phone won't focus on the code, you'll need to try something else.

Thanks for the suggestion. Worked perfectly, giving Arlo space to update items manufactured before the release of new iPhone models.
