Everything was fine and running smoothly, then out of the blue, I was getting notifications but couldn't access/view the events.  I went to my calendar of events and it's empty (I used to have a lot of events I hadn't deleted).  I reset everything, I'm connected/online, and everything looks normal.  Now I don't even get notifications.

 

Any ideas as to what happened or how to fix it?

Check your subscription status. It sounds like your trial sub ran out so you need to purchase at least a single camera sub.

I have a full year subscription and I'm logged in online and on the app.

Can you make manual recordings when live streaming the cameras?

I have the same problem. This started Sunday 25th June

I pay monthly, for single camera storage but the app implies I don't have a subscription, and all my recordings have been deleted

Further yesterday Sunday I found I couldn't raise a case

Which user interface (UI) are you using - the old one with Library to view videos or the new one that uses Feed? WHat subscription do you have (full wording)?

I'm using the one that has the 'Feed' list.

I purchased the CVR annual plan just a couple months ago.

No.  When I go to live feed it's like it takes a snapshot the second it goes live and that's all I get; no video, just a snapshot.

The app shows that I'm connected to the Internet, it recognizes and identifies the camera, and I have a newer one year subscription.

No matter what I check on the app or my account online, it's as if everything is working perfectly but the camera is blind.

App Notification: "Hey there's someone on your front porch."

Me: "Where?"

Camera: "Zzzz"

For me, I use an iphone and the app version is 4.5 (6272)

it has library as the second option in from the live view window 

I don’t see how you record from the live view window …

so is there a different app to download, and my version has been suspended???

That doesn't include motion or manual recordings - you'd need Arlo Secure (as well as CVR) for that.

For the record, I have Arlo Secure single camera subscription 

at least that’s what I pay for monthly 

however for some reason recordings were deleted last Sunday and my subscription is showing with (0) after it now

despite I have just been charged

dont have cvr as a plan showing whatever that is

 

is there a server problem???

i have not heard from the support case i raised Monday morning

Hi

just to say my subscription problem is now fixed. I called Arlo support 

for some unknown reason my doorbell got detached from my subscription 

however to add it back in, i had to log into mySrlo online to get the doorbell back onto the subscription ( i thought you could do it from the app, but alas not)

so i am okay again now, and just have to remember what to do if it happens again

ps i asked about live recordings, as I don’t know how to do that from the live window . the lady did try to explain what she thought you meant by that, however it sounded complicated 

if possible is there a link you could add which explains in detail how to record from the live window (iphone)

No link, but it's not that difficult.

 

Go to devices, and and press on the big play button in the middle of the camera video to start streaming.

 

Then you should see a bullseye (solid circle with a ring around it) at the bottom center of the image.  Touch that to start recording - the inner circle will turn red.  

 

Touch the icon again to stop the recording.

 

(Note that to stop livestreaming, you touch the square in the center of the image).

 

BTW, the icons will disappear after a couple of seconds.  But touching the video again will cause them to reappear.

Thank you for that. I must have missed that facility somehow 

appears to be low volume on recordings though 

ill test that further in case that’s me

With iphones, that's generally because the phone volume needs to be increased.

embarrassingly it turns out you were right 

I really don’t know how my phone volume got turned down, as I keep it at full volume

while I don’t pretend to have much expertise here, maybe it’s worth checking (based on what i have just been through) the following:

go to settings subscription. Mine now says the following…

ARLO SECURE

Arlo Secure Single Camera (1) 

1 of 1 camera(s) participating

CVR PLAN

No Plan

Please go to Arlo on the web to manage your plans and cameras.

—-

however i had 0 showing in brackets earlier. This apparently meant i had no units associated with my subscription ( for some reason the doorbell had dropped off)

if you see 0 in brackets, i suggest you log onot the web version of myArlo, go the the subscription settings where you should be able to drag and drop your doorbell back into the subscription area

 

perhaps you could post the outcome, so if necessary the experts can further diagnose for you
