Hi,

I have my Arlo essential door bell wirelessly connected. This was easy enough to setup.
I have now bought a Chime so that someone inside the house can be notified when someone is at the door.

I am struggling to connect the Chime to the doorbell.

I go on to the device settings (Doorbell) and at the bottom is 'ADD CHIME'. When I do this, I am asked to plug ethernet cable to basestation or smarthub. I don't have a basestation or smarthub.

How do I connect the Chime to the doorbell?

Thank you

Which chime did you buy? Sounds like the original one, not the Chime 2 version.

Hi,

Yes, purchased the original chime.

Thank you

That requires a base, so you need to exchange it for a Chime 2.
