Chime 2 refusing to chime for Essential Doorbell

So following advice received from here I’ve bought a Chime 2 (AC2001) and paired it with my Essential Doorbell.

 

It is paired; both devices have a good internet connection; nothing is on “Silent Mode;” both devices have a good power supply. I have reset and re-installed both devices.

 

The Chime remains silent when the doorbell is pressed.

I can’t find out what I am doing wrong, and any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It may simply be that the chime is faulty. Swap at the store.
