Firmware 1.8.0.0_4_4a16fed_58744c
Recently a small amber / orange disc has appeared in the middle of my doorbell, between the bell push and the LED.
I have no idea what this is.
Can anyone help please?

Hi Stephen. Many thanks for your response. It must be the IR as you say , anyway it has become visible I don’t know.
i did try removing the battery but will try again.
The bell is working fine and recording as normal so a bit of a mystery.
cheers.

I think you are looking at the spot where the IR LED for nightvision is located. There is a light sensor just above it. See page 6 here for a diagram:
On my AVD2001, the IR LED isn't visible at all in daylight (It is hidden by the plastic shell over it). The IR LED would normally be on only when
- the light sensor just above it detects that it is dark outside
- and the camera is active (streaming or recording)
The light sensor is visible, but shouldn't be lit.
Does your video look ok?
Have you tried removing/reinserting the battery to reboot the doorbell?
