Hi,
I’ve bought an AVD2001. I have an existing doorbell on the house, with a push button on the outside of the house and a mechanical chime inside, with a transformer that provides 14 VAC.
If I understand things correctly, this should be good conditions for being able to connect the Arlo Video Doorbell to the existing wiring on the house in order to trickle-charge the battery and use the house's native chime. Correctly?
But the thing is that, after installation, the AVD2001 activates the house chime for some time. After a while (after maybe a day), Arlo Doorbell stops activating the native chime when someone rings the doorbell (Arlo).
Anyone have any tips on what could be causing this?
I have tried removing the AVD2001 from my Arlo account, to add / install the doorbell again. However, the same problem remains. It works for a while, then stops working.
Thanks in advance for your help!
