I recently purchased an Arlo 2nd Gen 2K Door Camera and connected it directly to the existing electrical wiring from my previous doorbell. I have verified that the wiring is live; however, the camera is not drawing power from the electrical connection and is instead operating solely on its internal battery. The battery has already dropped to 16%.
One of the primary reasons I chose this model was to avoid the need for frequent recharging. Given this issue, it appears the camera is not functioning as expected. Could you please advise on how to resolve this problem?
Thank you for your assistance.

I'm having the exact same issue. I had a certified electrician come out this morning and verify all of the wiring is done correctly. Device still won't draw power and is relying on the battery.

The battery was at 13%. I fully recharged it and reinstalled it in the wall unit, but the charge is still dropping — it’s now at 88%. @StephenB @Pat-C Power issue with arlo 2nd gen 2k

Normally it won't charge until it reaches about 65% (and then will charge up to about 80%).
It shouldn't have dropped to 13%. That said, you need to wait and see if it drops below 65% before you will know if the problem is resolved.
