Trying to connect doorbell AVD3001 to Chime 2 model AC2001 but it fails to connect. I scan the QR-code, it asks to connect to the ARLO_xxxx device and about 1 minute later I get the message it cannot connect to Arlo_xxxx
On the Chime 2 box it says it's compatible with the Arlo Essential Video Doorbell AVD2001, it does not say AVD3001. Should I buy a different chime for this doorbell?

It sounds like you are trying to add the Chime 2 to your account (which you need to do before you pair it with a doorbell). Is that the case? What phone are you using to add the chime? There is an issue with some iPhone models that you might be running into.
The chime 2 is compatible with your 2nd gen doorbell, but it is possible that the firmware will need to update before it will pair.
