I recently upgraded my camera to the 2nd generation & have it hardwired, but I noticed it's not charging. I thought when it was hardwired it is supposed to charge the device as well? Everything works so I know it's connected correctly. How do I get it to charge when it's hardwired so I don't have to keep taking it down & unhooking the wires & redoing it all every time it needs to charge?

The battery will discharge to 65% at which time it will charge back up to 80%. That sequence then repeats. I suppose this is a method of prolonging the battery life.
