I can't get my new 2nd gen video doorbell to connect to the WiFi even though I know the name and password are correct. What am I missing here?

There are several possibilities.  The phone needs to be connected to your WiFi, and any VPN software needs to be turned off.  WiFi security needs to be WPA2 (AES).  I believe with 2nd Gen cameras you also need to have bluetooth on during onboarding.

Not sure about 2nd Gen, but other Arlo cameras can't handle some special characters (punctuation, accents, spaces) in the network name and password.  The only workaround for that is to remove those characters.  Arlo has never documented which characters cause the problem.

Flatbrokeranch,

At what point during setup are you seeing the issue? Do you see any error messages?
