Hello,

I have a setup of 5 Arlo pro2 (H3)  + one Arlo Ultra (H4) for many years now and something like 6 different "modes" to enable the detection only on some of the cameras (outdoor, indoor, only front  of the house ...)

Since about 2 weeks (?)  I have a very strange behavior with the Alro Ultra camera that detects and records "sound" while it is not supposed to be in an active mode !

Typically I have a mode where I want to activate only 1 camera in front of my house so just one of the Arlo pro2 cam , this mode triggers therefore the record only if something moves in front of this camera, and now the issue is that if there is some sound near the Arlo Ultra (H4) well the Ultra camera records and sends a notification that it has detected a sound... as if it was part of the condition that triggers the  event of this mode but clearly it is not the case..

I have this issue whatever the mode used , as long as Ultra Camera is not enabled , it triggers now a sound notification.. quite annoying.

So I was wondering if someone has the same kind of issue ?

Thanks for your feedback

sw version of my arlo app : 4.11.2 (7240)

fw version of this ultra cam (H4) is 1.080.18.6_66_bda8d63

fw version of my arlo pro2 cam (H3) are 1.125.17.1_11_de8490d

the central is a VMB4000r3 (fw 1.21.1.0_4302_9611cf3)

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.

not so many trials ..

1. reboot the base station

2. disconnect / reconnect the USB for this arlo pro3 camera (continuously powered)

3. verify the different "modes" I have to check that this arlo pro3 cam with a sound trigger has not been added by mistake ... but no everything is ok as it used to be.

I do not know if the issue comes from the camera that detects a sound (on purpose each time)  and that provides a notification to the system , or if it comes rather from the system that should not take this notification into account.

@Thiers

If you have the rules set to not detect sound > Send a PN, the camera should not be sending the push notification and recording for sound triggers. Have you tried removing and reinstalling the camera and verify there are no when sound is detected rules set again.

finally , i have understood the root cause of this issue.

It is linked to the "audio smart notifications" settings of this particular Arlo Pro camera , since I am French I do not know how this is spelled in English but if one of the audio alerts  of the smart notifications of this camera are activated (either  alarm fire & CO2 or other sounds) then even if this camera is not "enabled" it will send a sound notification in case it detects a sound..

After disabling the 2 audio smart notifications for this camera , then no more issues.

For me it looks anyway like a bug..

If I enable only the outside front door camera with movement detection , I do not want this inside camera to trigger a sound whatever the settings of the "audio alerts" in the smart notifications menu of this camera.

Have you tried removing and reonboarding the camera?
