Notifications still not working on S10+.  They are still not making it through doze as of this morning, I have to physically wake my phone to get them.  After dealing with support last time it worked flawlessly for near 3 weeks until the 11th so it must be fixable but something changed.

I know you mean well so thanks but all of that was done by me, by Arlo, by Samsung and by AT&T.  Some androids are working and maybe a unlocked is different for some reason.  The overwhelming percentage don't buy unlocked phones however and as I said notifications for every app except Arlo work, if the phone isn't allowed to sleep it's perfect, in fact quicker than our i phone which is almost instant.  The only thing that prevents it working is going to sleep.  It wasn't advertised to work with some phones and if I didn't owe on mine I would simply trade it for a i phone and be done with it.  The new phone AT&T gave me is only two weeks old but you still got to pay for it.

One thing I should ask is if you are using smart notifications.  Some have said it works better if you don't but I don't want to know every time the wind blows.  It's bad enough to get a notification every time a bee flys at the cam lol.

Yes I have Smart notifications on question for you when you're on your local network are you getting a 4K logo on your screen because mine stopped working

since the last updated it's sporadic, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.  I've never worried to much about it since I don't pay the extra and only get it when at home but never had the sometimes issue until the last update.  More concerned that someone is in my driveway and listed as a vehicle in the library but no notification period on either phone even though the rest came through.

Simulv and Surfer1000, after posts by Johnny270 about no issues with his unlocked phone I got back into digging again.  Samsung and AT&T still consider it to be an Arlo app issue not the phone but that a background process could be an issue they haven't found and worked around.  So what I did yesterday was to turn off background data usage for everything I could temporarily live without.  I even turned off the edge screen.  My notifications have now worked for 24 hours and next I will have to turn things on one at a time until I find the issue.  If it's something I don't need fine, otherwise I would expect Arlo to fix it as running their app shouldn't force me to give up a function of my phone.  AT&T did go through all my apps and didn't find anything that should be an issue.  I will post when I find the issue, one at a time might take a bit.  There are two ways to go about it if you choose.  Going to settings, apps, data usage, background is one but you will find everything on the phone has it turned on.  I used option 2, settings, connections, data usage, mobile data usage, app and chose the apps to turn it off there because this shows which apps have actually been using background data usage.  Hope for now this continues to work, time will tell.

Hey:) I tried what you said, but unfortunately, it didn't work 😞 I think I’ve tried it all at this point. And no help from Arlo. It worked fine before the update! So I think it’s strange that nothing is being done. No info, no updates, no help!

Sorry to hear Simulv, I'm not sure yet if mine is completely fixed, will have to wait and see but I know I shouldn't have to shut down Bixby and edge and Facebook and you tube and all to get it to work.  Will find out as I start to turn things back on.  The only other thing I did was install Glympse notifications from the app store but even it is a pain to set up and makes you turn some features off and it didn't fix it until I shut everything down in the background that wasn't required.  So can't really say it's doing anything.  Like you though, I finally got mine working for 3 weeks straight until they did the update when breaking away from Netgear.  Will keep at it because after 10 months with Arlo I'm convinced they're not and it's up to me.

I really think it's the bloatware on your phone causing a problem. I would try disabling that and see if that helps

Time will tell but most bloatware is back on without issue and today I will be starting with phone features,  If that's the case that will be an issue and as Simulv pointed out it didn't help his turning off background apps.

Well it wasn't bloatware as I now turned all of it back on.  The only thing left is to turn the edge screen back on so at a loss unless Arlo made a change somewhere we don't know about.  Now just hope it lasts.

Received an update on my case and Arlo informed me that they have made a change, this seems to have fixed the notification issue.  Now if it lasts I will feel I can add more cameras.  One would think 6 would be enough but if it's working got a couple more areas I would like to try.

Simulv,

I've opened and escalated a support case on the issue you are experiencing. An agent will reach out to you as soon as possible to collect more information.

Simulv, sorry I didn't explain better, it wasn't an update to to the app or phone, they updated me on the status of my ticket.  The info was that they had made a change, to what part of the system I don't know, just happy to have it working and hoping James can get yours working to.
