Why does my camera keep recording about 14-20 sec movie clips instead of longer ones?
It's clearly moving and it stops and starts recording a new

The mode is armed and set to record when motion is detected.

It would seem that you're using the "record until motion stops" setting rather than a timed recording. If the camera can't detect motion (doesn't matter if you can see it - it's about the camera's detection) for a short time, recording stops and will pick up again when motion can be detected again.

Hm it one solution but a poorly one.

if i do put a set time limit i might miss important events that occur.

And it should not be that poor motion detection as you can see in the image, they are unloading an excavator just infront of the camera.

They are working  constand and the camera shouldnt stop so many times.

Seems like they stop to fast

Your right there Palekto, I had to set mine to 45 sec just to catch a full activity but then you have a ton of 45 sec clips of 10 sec video going to the cloud.  They should be able to adj.it in firmware for a longer pause in activity because if movement stops for less than 5 sec. recording stops and does not restart probably because it's sending the clip to the cloud.
