Hello-

I am trying to install the new Arlo Security System. As part of the process, it is requiring me to upgrade my base station. The problem is my base station says no updates available.

I tried troubleshooting with support for 30 minutes but no success (adding/deleting app, power cycling). It appears this has happened to others in related threads, but those have been closed.

Any ideas on what I can do to get this resolved as it’s preventing me from installing the security system?

Base Station - VMB5000r4

Current Firmware - 1.16.6.2_1022_c366487

Your firmware is 2 years old (released Sept 2021).  It should be 1.21.1.0_1431_9611cf3 (at least in the US).  Your firmware is 2 years old (released Sept 2021).

You might want to try phone support, as I think they can try to push an update to your smarthub remotely.

Yes, phone support couldn’t solve it. They had me try a bunch of steps but nothing worked.

Looking into the base station it appears that it is on the latest firmware.

What issues are you having when trying to install the system?
