Initially after adding a single activity zone things seemed to be working. Then after adding a second it never seems to record anything crossing the second zone.. I decided to just remove them and not deal with the bugs, but now I get an error when try to even look at the zones.

Try reinstalling the app. ALso use a web browser to see if both have the same issue. I wonder if you can successfully get in to look at them using the browser whether you can delete the second zone, assuming that's the problem.

As mentioned by jguerdat, try viewing the zones in the web client and see if you get the same error. If you're able to edit them from there, remove them and then see if you still see the same error on the mobile app.
