I just purchased and Ultra kit and I put a 256 gig SD card in it, but when I formatted it via the app it shows I only have 59 Gig avaliable. is there something I have to do to get the entire space?

It sounds like a bad card or some sort of incompatibility. Try formatting it in a computer or other device (if you try to format in FAT32 on a computer you may need to use a 3rd party utility). Try formatting in the base again. It should be that simple unless there's a problem as mentioned above.

... then there is the chance that this is one of those knock-off cards that is not what it claims to be.
There have been many reports of those over the years.
