VMB 5000 AU Firmware upto date as at time of posting 11 Jan 2020.
Noticed 2 of the 4 cameras had not been recording for a month and this after several months of successful service. Cameras appear to work fine with orange light using utility Motion Detection Test Tried to live stream using both Windows 10 PC and phone app (both up to date operating systems). Tried 1 camera at a time but “connecting” just stayed on for 2 of the cameras which are solar panel (genuine Arlo) connected battery powered (batteries 100%) until eventually reporting device failed to connect. The other two are mains powered and live streamed no trouble. Batteries are fine. Disconnected them from solar panels and with all the testing lost some battery capacity as expected. Repeated using camera device utilities – camera positioning. Initially came up with zero signal strength as usual and then reported excellent signal strength then as before displayed “connecting” until it reported camera offline. The usual steps done of disconnecting the power to the router, Arlo base and removing camera batteries for a number of minutes. Everything looked good each time this was tried, steady blue light re-established on Arlo, then replaced camera battery and again the familiar click and rapid blue light for a short time. Also tried removing the device and resyncing both automatically and manually. App added the camera but same problems as before. All of the synching done with camera with 3 feet of hub. I think I have covered all of the basics. The only thing I haven’t tried is smashing them in frustration with a hammer but I know that is not a solution either.

Two cameras are working ok, but two are not?

Thank you Stephen for responding. It was two cameras but in the ensuing time I have managed to get one of the cameras going. However try as I might, not the remaining one. It appears to synch, I can selct motion detection utility test no worries but streaming or camera positioning is a no go.

Might be time to contact support then.
