Is this possible? Or do you need to have both cloud storage and local storage set to 4K? If you can store 4K content locally and 1080p in the cloud, is there a reason to upgrade to 4K cloud storage? A related question: how do you view 4K content stored either locally or in the cloud? Thanks!

The easiest option fir cloud storage is to use a portable device and app.

Some browsers can handle 4K. Microsoft's Edge for example.

Or just click the "Download" link and open with whatever application you like.

Viewing in browsers is generally painful. It is prone to "Flash" warnings. For some reason, Arlo has yet to move away from this rapidly dying technology.

To see local recordings you have to remove the memory card and use something else to view stuff.

We have been promised that in future we will have browser access to local recordings

Not at present, but I see value in having the feature.  Perhaps post this in the idea exchange (maybe broaden it to say that you want access to both resolutions).
