Infared illuminators

I recently mounted an ultra camera on my shed about 30 feet from my house. Currently I only get motion alerts about 15 feet from my camera in the dark. Does anyone know if an infared illuminator near the house would allow for further motion detection? I know it would increase visibility but would it also increase the motion detection as well?

Prob not... max detection is about 25 ft

have you adjusted the sense level in the mode?

The motion sensors are PIR - which aren't the same part of the IR spectrum that NightVision uses.  So I agree with @TomMac that it wouldn't help.

Note the cameras are most sensitive to motion across the field of view, and also they do a better job at the bottom of the field of view.  Adjusting the camera position with that in mind can help.
