Hub password

If I have purchased all of my Arlo equipment and I do not use Arlo's cloud services, how can they legally keep me from having the password to the network supplied by the VMB5000?  I own the equipment.  It's equivalent to renting a storage space to someone to store their own belongings but not giving them the key to the space.

You are using Arlo's Cloud services (even if you don't have a subscription).  Notifications come through the cloud, livestreaming cameras when away from home is done via the cloud, etc.

That's a very good question regarding the password.
