Elite Plan with CVR &1080p vs 4k?

I understand that CVR supports 1080P max. However, CVR still gives you alerts and ability to download the short videos where movement is detected. Are those short videos in 4K or does having CVR force everything to be in 1080P thus negating the value of the elite plan?

I believe everything will be 1080p but don't know for sure. You still need a subscription for your cameras but just won't be able to use 4k.
