We have several ARLO  cameras ( Pro2,Ultra,Ultra2. Go2) for several months and their batteries held their charge.  Now we are slowly going into the colder weather (33 to 45), the battery drains are happen much faster.  A Ultra that has been staying at 100% for monthly is now going from 100% to needin a new battery in less than a week.  All my cameras have solar chargers attached. Some so the green charging light and dont show that charging light and others don’t. The panels are facing to get the most sun.

so nowI am not sure if the chargers are working?  ? (How can you tell if a charger is still ok

could it also be that the camera itself is beginning to fIl

I wish there were some diagnostic tools to help identify the problem

Today it’s just trial and error,  moving cameras and chargers.

The quickfrcline in the batteries make me think it’s camera faikuo

Cold temps slow down chemical reactions so the batteries will always lose capacity. The cold may also make it impossible for the solar panels to charge the batteries since they won't charge below 32F to protect the batteries. You should see the battery icon with a lightning bolt if charging. In addition you should see a "sun" icon next to the battery icon. The exact meanings are relative to whether it's charging and/or connected:

I have recently bought a set of a base station and 3 Arlo pro cameras. I set them up just before going on a long vacation. The first camera died out after a week (2 activations), the second after 10 days (3 activations), and the third one after two weeks (with zero activations, even though it should've been activated twice). All cameras are brand new and where charged to 100%. The video was set to optimized quality. Right know I feel I had been frauded, as I was promised 3-6 months of battery life, and it turns out these cameras are a piece of garbage. Who should I contact to get them replaced?

I am an ARLO user and not part of the support team. I have had some problems with various batteries and have played around to get
the most out of each of them.
No question in COLD weather they drain very quickly. Higher sensitivity and how setting the video image also comes into play.
I use relatively low sensitivity and optimize battery life.
Plus now I have solar chargers for each of our 21 cameras.
Perhaps someone else in this community might provide a more detailed response.

Do you have activity zones set up?  They are processed in the cloud, so they hide the real streaming usage.

Were there any power outages while you were away?  An extended outage can also drain the batteries, because the cameras actively look for the wifi to come back.

The original Pro (VMB4030)?  Those haven't been manufactured for some years.

Can you confirm the model?  Open one of the cameras and remove the battery - you'll find a label inside.

I have issues with Arlo Ultra XL it has drained it’s battery within three weeks of installing it!

The issues are that no matter how I set the zonal parameters it seems to have little effect any advice is appreciated.

I notice that my XL batteries drain much faster in colder weather. I could lose 15% a night. Now thats it’s warmer, my batteries are lasting longer.  I played with various settings, activity zones doing make a difference.  It was under MODE that I lowered the sensitivity of the individual camera, that helped. Now I depend on solar chargers for each of our 25 ARLO cameras
