My base station is out, no power, tried new adapter and still no power. Outlet is fine, so ordering a new VBM5000. When I receive do I simply connect my modem and power up or do I need to do something more?

You'll need to add it to your account with "Add device". Then remove the Ultras from your account, and re-add them to connect them to the new smarthub.
