So our terrible cameras are finally working properly on geofencing -after two years of Arlo gaslighting us. Now we have discovered that the outdoor cable has rusted, along with the charging connection on the actual camera.
So we are unable to charge the camera and it has to be binned, along with the hundred dollar cable. (After also forking out hundreds to have a power point put in the ceiling cavity for the camera to be connected to).
It’s sheltered under the eaves, so other than the odd sideways drop of rain during a winter storm, it’s not directly exposed to the elements.
Under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act the ‘one year warranty’ that Arlo ‘give’ isn’t lawful, the product must be fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time but you can’t contact Arlo after a year.
honestly wish we had never purchased this system, it has been nothing but stress and frustration and a BIG waste of money.
