I have the Arlo Ultra 5 camera set. I can not get 4k live view to work on my IPad Pro. I have the latest up dates for the Arlo system and iOS 13 for the iPad.
It worked before and still works on my iPhones 6s and 7.
When going to live view pre camera it only shows “live” in the right corner. I don’t have track turned on. And I do have 4k turned on every camera.
Whats wrong with this system?

K9trainer,
Is the iPad connected to the same network as the SmartHub when live streaming? Is the iPad logging in using the same credentials as the iPhone 6/7 or is it logging in using a grant access account?

K9trainer,
Does the account you use for the iPad have access rights enabled in the grant access settings?

I purchased 3 sets of the 3 camera packages. Set one up indoors next to my existing Arlo Pro 2 and another one in a different city outdoors next to existing Arlo pro 2 cameras. Att fiber optics in outdoor location and Exfinity business in the other. Ultra view at both locations look washed-out. Pro2 significantly better. Have been working with Arlo Tech support to no avail. I sent them pictures and they acknowledge the huge difference. They seen to say they do not know what the problem is. I hope I do not have to have a per camera subscription to clear up the picture. Unacceptable, not ready for release to public.

The Pro-2 definitely has more color saturation than the pro-3 or the ultra.
Though the Ultra's colors look closer to what I see than the Pro-2 does. As far as I'm concerned, the Pro-2 is over-saturated.

You all have much better pictures than I can get from my Ultra. Mine continue to have a slight white haze. Is there a special setting that I have not enabled? Sure, pro 2 may be oversaturated but my pictures are definitely sub-par. I did not subscribe to any per camera options and I wonder if that is the problem. Tech support said they have escalated the complaint but no further word from them.

Use HDR and 4K, if you don't pay for the per camera record in 4K then you not getting 4K and will only be able to see it in live view.

Mine was not doing 4K live on my iPad earlier today either, but it was on my iPhone. As of tonight, the iPad is back to doing 4K live streaming.

It seems it will work from time to time if I pick a camera for live view (dosent have 4k) then unpick it and repack the same camera and then it comes on in 4k.

What about the 4K live stream outside home network? I have a PVR subscription but it doesn’t work.

Live view 4k will only work when you connected to the same network. The recorded library in 4k will play back in 4k from where ever.

Understood. But assume Ultra is not recording at 4K but 1080, it should at lease look as good as Pro2, but it looks a lot worse. It does not even look as good as 720. It is dull. This tells me we are dealing with something other than just resolution.

Pro2 has a 130 field of view. Ultra has a 180 degree field of view. This means Ultra is going to have poorer resolution than Pro2 at 1080, because those 1080 pixels are spread over a larger area than the Pro2.

With that in mind, I changed the Ultra to 150, then 120. Same results, so that is not the problem. Changing the brightness makes things worse. As you can see, I have tried everything I can think of.

Additionally, if the field of view is my real problem, how do others capture the beautiful image they post? How?

If others capture beautiful images and you cannot, then the problem is not likely the Ultra's design, but something particular about your setup.
I'd suggest you start your own new thread and post some video from the camera that you are not satisfied, along with some pictures of the mounting.
First dumb question is whether the plastic lens protector has been removed from your camera.

Just might do that. Good question and the answer is YES, I removed the plastic cover. I sent the pictures to 2nd level tech support and they have been working on it for about 2 weeks now. Thanks for your suggestions.
